All quiet on the homestead front!

So, just to keep the updates coming here is just a brief one as last months viewing stats for this crappy little blog were 5954, it's almost double the month before, so who am i to deny these bored sad few their monthly fix of nonsense and drivel.

If there's one thing that bugs me it's crap signage. I hate it, "Happy Hour 4 till 8" that's 4 hours not an  HOUR! "Voted No.1 bar" well, where were you voted No.1, give us proof! "King of Cocktails" where was the coronation and who crowned you the King or Queen of course! "Best pub Lunch award 2004", that means you've been terrible for the past 19 years, it's only relevant that year or at the most the year after.

So you can see what i mean. Now this little beauty is next to Swansea bus station. "Milano's - Authentic Italian Pizzeria" it also says this in huge lit up signage above the building BUT......

What's this? A lunch time menu of specials and look....well, well, well, it must be an authentic Italian Pizzeria, just look at all those non Italian dishes and not one is a pizza. I know many Brits when they visit the Colosseum in Rome or Duomo di Milano in Milan they just want that authentic Italian Corned Beef Pie or Chicken Dinner.

 

BOO-HOO Taylor Swift fans, poor you, "I'M FURIOUS" , "I'M OUTRAGED" , "I'M UPSET AND ANGRY" , no the real headline is "YOUR ALL IDIOTS". A Taylor Swift fan paid £664 for a ticket, now there's stupidity for you in the first place, only to find out its a side stage view. OK, lets dissect this. When you purchase a ticket for a gig you see the price first, so there is no way your being conned, if you think you are, don't pay the price, it's quite simple, a bit like Taylor Swift fans. Not only does it show you the price it shows you the position of the seat, which block, which row, which seat so you also know where the seat is. SO, to buy a ticket paying the price they did, knowing the position of the seat and then complain is the most ridiculous, idiotic, brain numb thing i have ever seen published on the internet. Also i saw today that James Corden was seen entering the mosh pit at Harry Styles last concert in Italy........a mosh pit.....REALLY.......at a Harry Styles gig......I think not. Do these journalists know what a mosh pit is? You get kicked, thrown and punched all over the place in a music frenzy not in a violent fight way. At a Harry Styles gig it will either be a ball pit or soft play, definitely not a mosh pit.

A little bit of trivia for all you "Swifties" She has only had 2 UK number one singles, 2017 and 2022, Jive bunny had 3 consecutive Number one singles in just one year 1989 and they were the worst act ever so what does that say for Miss Swift?

Our Friday day out. Sian had a Friday off  2 weeks ago as we were meant to be in London to see Iron Maiden but the tickets were crazy money, i think over £300 per ticket and that was for standing at the O2, no chance in hell we were paying that so we went to Crosshands and Cwm Carreg Farm shop for breakfast and get some lovely fresh food to take home. We've been before as i used to go here by myself for a coffee on my motorbike when i lived in Crosshands and always better to get there early as you avoid the Saga coach group for their pensioner dinner and the families with kids.

Then we went just a short drive to Many Tears Dog Rescue to have a look at the dogs they have there and hopefully take a few out for a walk. They had some beautiful dogs there that we would have loved to take home, the only problem is our little girl Squidly, she would not be happy and the dog would have no chance with her, she rules the house, the poor dog would be chased around everywhere, Squidly is definitely the boss.

After Cwm Carreg and Many Tears we dropped our rich pickings back to the house, got on a local bus and headed in to town on a bar crawl, 4 bars in total as we had a bit of walk in between each one but ended up here. Probably the best bar we've been to in a long time and why didn't we go sooner. Jukebox 5 songs for £1. Fuel bar in Cardiff, really good decor, excellent music and no posing, pouting, self loving, narcissistic selfie pic takers to be seen, just rock music lovers, a proper bar.

It also has a live music room for when they have bands.

Let's just say this was our last stop and it got a bit messy but it was brilliant and always the best nights when it's shared with Sian.

As you know we have front row seats for Foo Fighters next June, that's done, they're in the bag but now we also have front row seats for Depeche Mode in Dublin next Feb. We were already out there next year for the first weekend of the 6 nations and just by luck Depeche winter tour date for Dublin is that same weekend, how awesome is that. Lets hope it's not like the last time we visited Dublin, i had a stalker at the airport who approached me in the Starbucks queue, of all the airports, of all the days and all the times they could have been there and they were there the same time as us, how Sian and i laughed when i told her, you couldn't have made it up and then on the way back we flew back in a major storm with all flights cancelled after ours landed back, now that was a crazy weekend but we had an amazing time and this will be even better.

So that's it for today just to keep you going. Athens in Sept is looking less likely every week, I refuse to pay over £1000 for a week away anywhere in Europe with a basic seat on a flight and a stay in a average hotel when i can get 2 weeks in Canada next year with Premium seats and an apartment for £2800 which is where we are next June/July and last week one year ago we were in Calgary and had an amazing night when i proposed to Sian on the last night of the Calgary Stampede.

Ahhhh business class, we remember it so well, see you next June.

Never mind, i'm sure i'll find something for us, we've got London in Oct and Nov and we've already done Gloucester, Monmouth, Rome, Munich and Paris so can't really complain.
